Ackerman
Two Bedroom Suite

Situated in a quiet corner of the château, this generous first-floor two-bedroom suite offers comfortable living, dining, and kitchen spaces ideal for longer stays.
The principal bedroom enjoys views across the orchard, swimming pool, neighbouring fields and surrounding countryside, while a substantial second bedroom overlooks the former stables, offering a contrasting yet equally charming outlook.
Access is via the West Wing Stairwell to the first floor. There is no lift access to this suite.
Named in honour of the Ackerman family. Jean-Baptiste Ackerman founded Maison Ackerman, the first house of Crémant de Loire, in Saumur in 1811. His son, Louis-Ferdinand Ackerman, purchased the château in the late 1800s and restored the chateau to its former glory. Upon his death in 1914, his daughters inherited the chateau, one of whom became a Carmilite nun and transformed it from a private residence into a girls’ finishing school for the elite families of Europe.
