Raiponce

Studio Suite

Located on the ground floor, Raiponce is a light-filled and airy studio suite with a rare triple aspect, offering views across the lawns, courtyard, and former stables of the château.

High ceilings enhance the sense of space, reflecting the West Wing pavilion’s origins as part of a celebration of the marriage between the Prince de Condé and the Marquis’ niece. The impressive double-door entrance opens directly onto the Cour d’Honneur, allowing the suite to function as a private, standalone residence, while still offering internal access to the château’s grand salons via a connecting corridor.

This suite offers step-free, disability-accessible accommodation.
Access is either directly from the terrace or via the ground floor West Stairwell (no stairs).

This suite is named after Rapunzel (known as Raiponce in France). The story goes that prisoners once escaped from this room and down into the moat by tying sheets together and escaping out of the window, a little like Rapunzel and her long hair.
